On the banks of the river that bears the name of our main city, 29 years ago a majestic cat of 3.5 meters in height and 3 tons in weight was placed, a work that took shape from the hands of colombian painter and sculptor Hernando Tejada, popularly known as "Tejadita".
In 2024, the Cali Chamber of Commerce gave us the opportunity to enrich the artistic heritage of La Sucursal del Cielo by adding a new member to the Las gatas del río program. From there, we began the process that led us to fall in love with Persa, the diverse cat. From the search for the painter who would bring her to life, to the conceptualization of the work and the message we wanted to share with the Cali community.
Did we tell you that our cat carries true Tejada blood in her veins?
